Richie Sambora SA-1 Prototype - White

Super-rare Richie Sambora prototype custom guitar built by Chris Hofschneider - Richie's long-time guitar tech of over 20 years and ex-head of Kramer Custom Shop. 

Only a few of these were built for Richie (reports online vary from only 1 in white, but certainly a max of 10 across both black and white), and the model was used on tour circa late 2000s and early 2010s. ESP would then launch a distinctly different (black only, 2-pickup version with standard tuners) at a later date.

We don't have any provenance/paperwork that Richie used this actual guitar, but given they were built specifically for him as a prototype it's more than likely. It is in excellent condition and highly collectible - the last one to list (in Germany) went up for £3300, and a signed one was listed at auction with an estimate of $8000-10,000.

Features include an Alder body, medium Maple neck, Rosewood fretboard, Custom single humbucker, and a Floyd rose speedloader snapshot bridge system. It comes with a case (pictured) to keep it protected.
