Prior to establishing Patrick Eggle guitars in 1991, Patrick designed the ‘Climaxe’ - the prototype to what would then became the iconic Berlin model which launched in 1991. This rare vintage guitar was hand-built by Patrick (one of the UK's most prestigious luthiers) in circa 1989/90, and is finished in Sunburst.
It is in very good condition for its age with some blemishes and wear as photographed. The frets are in excellent condition with little wear, and everything works as it should without issue.
Features include a stunning highly figured body, a slim Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard, Abalone inlays and 24 frets, Schaller floating trem, Schaller locking tuners and a pair of Bulldog handwound pickups which sound fantastic. It has a 3-way switch, volume/tone controls and a coil-tap for single coil tones. It's a versatile guitar that will suit most genres. Finally this collectible guitar comes with its original hard case and trem-arm.
