Gibson J-185 Original electric acoustic finished in classic Vintage Sunburst. In excellent condition with just a few very minor blemishes on close inspection.

One of the most fabled Flat-Tops of all time, the Gibson J-185 was released back in 1951 before being discontinued in '59 after less 1000 guitars were built. Back in 2020, Gibson re-released the J-185 Original, a stunning recreation with its distinctive appearance and beautifully balanced tone.

With a Sitka Spruce top on Flame Maple back and sides, it has a deep, resonant and real powerful sound. It's immediately recognisable and serves well both fingerpicking and strumming big chords. With a beautiful Rosewood fingerboard, the J-185 features mother of pearl parallelogram inlays and an upgraded saddle. It's comfortable, poised and ready to play with a slim taper neck  With such a stunning natural sound it really holds it own at the lower end, it offers great projection without compromising on note clarity. The LR-Baggs electronics ensure it sounds as good amped as it does acoustically. It comes with its original hardcase and paperwork  - as pictured.
