Top of the range Custom Shop 'R9' Les Paul with Murphy Lab Ultra Heavy Ageing. 

This is the perfect example, it has a stunning flamed top (photographed in both studio and natural light for comparison) and is finished in Lemon Burst - one of the most desirable colours. It is a case queen and in the same condition as it left the factory.

This authentic recreation exemplifies Gibson Custom Shop's tireless quest for accuracy to the original year of production, from the woods to the construction and parts. Each Custom Shop Reissue is every bit the instrument and statement piece as the priceless vintage examples, and the Murphy Lab ageing, paired with aged hardware, simulates decades of subtle playing wear — giving it the unique character, vibe and feel of an original example from Gibson's "Golden Era". It is covered in lacquer checking on close inspection and is effectively as close as you can get to the vintage feel of a legendary '59 burst, but without the £400k+ price tag. 

It's period correct features include a lightweight Mahogany 1-piece back with Maple top, fairly chunky C-profile Mahogany neck with Indian Rosewood fingerboard, 12” radius, Hide Glue fit, Narrow/Tall frets, Long-tenon, No-wire ABR-1 bridge with lightweight Aluminium stop bar, vintage style Kluson tuners and Custom Bucker Alnico III unwaxed pickups which sound absolutely superb and offer up classic, vintage Les Paul tone. It has 2x Volume, 2x Tone controls and all-quality components including CTS 500K Audio Taper Potentiometers, Paper-in-Oil Capacitors and Switchcraft 3-way pickup selector. The poker chip and input jack surround have both been updated to heavy aged versions which look more in-keeping with the guitar, but the originals are included in the case and can be easily switched over within a couple of minutes if preferred.

It comes complete with its paperwork, COA, Candy, and Lifton Custom Shop case to keep it protected.
