The Martin 00-28 Modern Deluxe is a modern take on classic, vintage Martin design, and is packed with high quality features to ensure the ultimate premium acoustic guitar. This example is finished in natural and is in mint condition.

 

The 00 is one of Martin's classic designs. Smaller than the 000, this is a straight-up parlour sized beauty of a guitar, perfect for comfortable strumming and fingerpicking and for those seeking the very highest pedigree of a compact, comfortable Martin acoustic guitar.

 

The Modern Deluxe sports some of the highest spec appointments in the Martin range, including Abalone inlays throughout, gold fretwork and hardware, and stunning European Flamed Maple binding. Other ultra-modern features include the Liquidmetal bridge pins and composite carbon fibre bridgeplate that boosts volume. 

The Spruce Top with 'Vintage Tone System' uses a unique recipe that has been based on historic torrefaction systems. VTS is much like a time machine in that Martin craftsmen and craftswomen are able to target specific visual aesthetics and possibly more importantly, reproduce specific tones from revered vintage models and apply them to new ones. It has a High Performance Taper neck for ultra comfort when playing.

Martin's X-Brace system dates back almost 200 years, designed to present the perfect balance between reliability and optimised tonal quality, in a guitar that will last a lifetime. This "forward-shifted" design moves the X towards the neck, retaining support and rigidity whilst allowing the section behind the bridge to resonate. The result is a reliable guitar that is loud and offers a spectacular bass response, pronounced tone and singing resonance.

 

It comes complete with its original deluxe hardshell case with plush interior to keep this very special guitar safe, plus its paperwork.
