Based on thorough scans of the coveted original models, this 1964 Trini Lopez Reissue gives you an authentic vintage ownership experience from the chunky '64 neck profile to the unique trapeze tailpiece. While Trini Lopez sadly passed away in 2020 his namesake model has been favoured by artists such as Dave Grohl and Noel Gallagher.

 

This stunning example is practically mint - if being exceptionally picky there are 2 tiny surface impressions on the reverse that are invisible unless closely inspecting and bouncing light directly onto the surface, and even then they are difficult to find. We have exaggerated these significantly in the close-up photos using lighting to make them visible. Most dealers would describe the guitar as mint.

  

It has many distinctive features including diamond f-holes, diamond inlays, rolled vintage neck binding, period correct appointments, Trapeze tailpiece with Indian Rosewood insert and Trini Lopez badge, 60’s Kluson ‘six on a strap’ tuners and the classic headstock design used on the Firebird.

 

Other features include the Maple Maple/Poplar/Maple top, back and sides, lightweight centre-block, Mahogany neck with comfortable Medium-C profile, dark Rosewood fingerboard with 12” radius, Medium Jumbo frets, Long Tenon and Hide Glue fit.

 

These were fitted with Custombucker Alnico III (unpotted) pickups, 3-way switching, plus volume and tone control. Everything under the bonnet is premium including Switchcraft components and Paper-in Oil capacitors. This is a guitar that sounds as good as it looks, with big iconic Gibson tone in spades.

 

It comes complete with its original hard case, COA and paperwork.
