The Yamaha SG1820A is a powerful guitar crafted in Japan with the use of decade's-worth of guitar making expertise behind it. Packed full of premium components, it's the ultimate combination of exceptional playability, sleek aesthetics, and unparalleled tone, and it's easy to see why they are often nicknamed 'Les Paul Killers'.
This stunning example is finished in Silver Burst and is in near-mint condition, with just 1 tiny blemish out of sight on the back edge, and only visible on very close inspection (pictured).
Launched back in 1974, the Yamaha SG has become a bit of a cult classic. A long time weapon of choice for legendary player Carlos Santana, the Yamaha SG really put Japanese made guitars on the map, proving that there were other places other than the USA crafting incredible guitars.
Utilising the time tested Mahogany and carved Maple tonewood pairing, this guitar delivers on tone in a big way. Perfectly balanced, this guitar is super comfortable and easy to play. The Mahogany neck features a slick Rosewood fingerboard and a 24.75" scale length, it feels really familiar and super secure. With Grover locking tuners, Tonepro bridge and a Graph tech nut, this guitar is complemented by a range of premium appointments, most notably the inclusion of The EMG81 and EMG 85 pickups which are the pickups of choice for many modern high gain players. They are beautifully dynamic with a powerful and super punchy tone, they are a great option.
It's shipped with its original hard case and papework, and offers a touch of classic '70s vibe in a perfectly constructed modern guitar.
