Stunning Custom Shop Taylor Grand Symphony - a premium spec electro-acoustic offering superb tone and a striking combination of tone-woods.

 

We previously sold this guitar last year (preowned) at £3695 but it is now offered at a substantially lower price as the guitar has since had a professional repair to the front (by the excellent Howard Smith - Leicester). It is difficult to see the repair in normal lighting conditions unless closely inspecting and from certain angles if it catches the light, but it is situated in the bottom left quarter of the guitar when on a guitar stand. We have provided multiple close-up photos of this section of the guitar from different angles, and have bounced direct light onto the surface to exaggerate the repair as much as possible. Please excuse the camera/hand reflections (the guitar has a high-gloss finish so the surface acts like a mirror and is difficult to photograph without reflections). The repair is purely cosmetic and does not effect the playability, tone or stability of the guitar in any way.

 

The Grand Symphony shape joined the line in 2006 and is like a Grand Auditorium with a turbo boost, thanks to expanded physical dimensions, including a slightly wider waist and a bigger lower bout. With a slightly larger footprint than the Grand Auditorium, the GS yields a slightly more potent and dynamic all-around sound. Players can expect deeper bass, thicker trebles, and increased volume and low-end sustain, all without disrupting the tonal balance and clarity of the guitar.

 

The spec on this Custom guitar includes a stunning Sinker Redwood top, Flame Mahogany back/sides, comfortable (fairly slim) Mahogany neck, Ebony fretboard and decorative Pearl inlays. Taylor's Expression System ensures it sounds as good when amped as it does unplugged, and onboard knobs give you full control over your tone and volume.

An incredibly high-spec guitar at a bargain price-point, it comes complete with its original premium hard case, and paperwork as pictured.
