Stunning Gretsch G6136CST Red Falcon Relic – a Masterbuilt guitar by the now retired ‘Stephen Stern’, one of Fender/Gretsch’s best ever master-builders.
The ageing on this guitar is exceptional - very authentic and with lots of lacquer checking and small dings on close inspection, which we've tried to capture on the close-up images. There only things which stop this from being mint condition is some very light signs of use to the frets (they are still 9 out of 10 condition) and a barely visible mark on the back/centre of the guitar where it has rested on a stand (but has not burnt through the finish). It's in exceptional condition.
Features include a Maple body with comfortable slim-medium profile Maple neck with Ebony fingerboard, decorative inlays, sparkle binding, Grover Imperial tuners and a tailpiece. The two Dynasonic pickups deliver that characteristic open, clear, and somewhat raw tone Gretsch is known for, with enough twang for rockabilly but also sufficient body for blues and rock.
This rare and highly-collectible guitar comes complete with its original hardcase, paperwork and candy.
