Top of the line Custom Shop '59 reissue finished in Cherry Sunburst VOS. It has a beautifully figured top that we have photographed in both studio and natural light for comparison.

 

It is in exceptional condition for age, with barely anything in terms of dings or surface blemishes (the couple we have photographed are exaggerated heavily under direct studio light, but in normal lighting you can't see them). The nitro is starting to age beautifully with some lacquer lines on very close inspection. No breaks or repairs and everything works as it should. It's a great opportunity to save big vs the typical £6k new price.

 

The 1959 Les Paul Standard is probably the most coveted guitars in the world, with only around 650 of the original 59 guitars produced, making them rare and beyond unaffordable to most. Here we have the Custom Shop replica of the classic guitar crafted by the world's top luthiers to recreate the icon with incredible accuracy and attention to detail.

 

It features a lightweight Mahogany body, flamed Maple top, chunky ‘C’ shape mahogany neck with smooth Rosewood fretboard and 22 historic medium jumbo frets, ABR-1 bridge and stopbar tailpiece. Under the bonnet, it's top quality all the way, with Burstbucker pickups, CTS pots and Bumblebee caps which all translates into a truly magical tone plugged in -  it’s bright, full and powerful whilst also being dynamic with plenty of resonance and sustain. Anyone who plays this guitar will instantly feel where the legendary status of the '59 comes from.

 

It weighs in at just 8.8lbs and comes with its original lifton-style case, COA and paperwork.
