2011 Gibson Custom ES-137 Classic - Light Burst

Introduced in 2002, the Gibson ES-137 is intended to combine two of Gibson's most successful designs - the resonance of the thinline archtop ES models, with the solidity of a Les Paul. However, this instrument is thicker than a thinline model, and uses mahogany instead of maple for the centre block.

 

This beautiful example is finished in Light Burst and has a beautiful figured top. It is in excellent condition with just a few barely visible blemishes that you’d have to closely inspect to find (we’ve exaggerated these significantly on the close-up photos under direct studio lighting, but in normal lighting they are difficult to see). No breaks or repairs, and  everything works as it should without issue.

 

Bringing together the florentine cutaway, arch top body with the solid Mahogany centre block, and using most of the hardware from a Les Paul including the 490R/498T humbucker pickups, tune-o-matic bridge and stop tailpiece, the ES-137c is a very versatile guitar and has a comfortable rounded profile neck and Grover tuners.
