For over 50 years, the D-35 dreadnought has found it’s way into the hands of players like Elvis ‘The King’ Presley and David Gilmour. This stunning example from 2010 is in excellent condition for age with just a few blemishes that are barely visible unless closely scrutinising (we've exaggerated these on the photos under direct studio lighting to make them more visible).

 

Its Dreadnought body shape provides a powerful, resonant voice with deep bass, crisp trebles, and rich overtones, making it a versatile choice for a variety of playing styles. Whether you're strumming chords or fingerpicking intricate melodies, the HD-35 offers outstanding projection and dynamic response, making it an ideal companion for stage, studio, or home use.

 

Constructed with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, the HD-35 stands out for its iconic three-piece back design and scalloped 1/4" bracing. These features enhance its tonal clarity, sustain, and overall responsiveness. The bold herringbone trim and antique white binding add a touch of classic Martin style, while the premium materials ensure durability and superior sound quality over time.

 

The neck of the HD-35 is designed with comfort and playability in mind. It features a low profile, standard taper neck, and a 25.4" scale length, allowing for smooth, effortless playing across the fingerboard. The bound ebony fingerboardprovides a luxurious feel and complements the guitar's elegant aesthetic.

 

It has a scalloped X Bracing, a 1 3/4" nut width and a compensated bone saddle, which contribute to improved intonation, sustain, and overall tonal balance. The ebony bridge ensure stable string tension and enhances the guitar's resonance. Chrome Grover tuners provide reliable tuning stability and precision.
