Super-collectible David Gilmour strat - inspired by the 'black strat' Gilmour used for decades and one of the most iconic guitars of all time.

 

This NOS (New Old Stock) version is as close as you can get to the original classic, and is in very good condition with some blemishes/wear on close inspection. We've tried to highlight these on the close-up photos (not easy given it's a black gloss, highly reflective finish). The frets are in very good condition with minor cosmetic wear, and everything works as it should.

  

Gilmour's spec includes a select Alder contoured body with nitro finish, Maple neck with a comfortable 1983 Thin-Shouldered “C” profile and nitro lacquer finish, 7.25" radius, vintage style frets, Fender/Gotoh vintage-style tuners, American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo with custom beveled tremolo block and shortened tremolo arm, 1-ply pickguard and vintage style tuners.

 

It’s fitted with a Custom Hand-Wound Fat ’50s Strat at the neck, Custom-Wound Strat pickup in the middle position, and a Seymour Duncan SSL-5 at the bridge. Controls include a Master Volume, Tone 1 (Neck Pickup), Tone 2. (Middle Pickup) and a 5-position Blade. In addition, Gilmours' 2-way toggle switch activates the neck pickup in the middle and bridge positions.

 

It comes with its original custom case with crushed green lining, certificate of authenticity, tags (not pictured), shortened trem arm, and candy as pictured (with highlights including a DVD/CD set of Gilmour 'Live in Gdansk', 'History of the Black Strat' book, Gilmour strings and Custom premium leather strap.
