Stunning R9 celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the iconic 1959 Les Paul. Limited-edition (only 500 made, with only 250 in Heritage Cherry Sunburst) and with the desirable “Gold Book” COA. This is a guitar that will appeal to both players and collectors looking for investment opportunities.

 

It is in near-mint condition - just a few barely visible blemishes that you’d have to closely inspect and bounce direct light onto the surface to see (they are not visible in normal lighting). An exceptional example with no breaks or repairs, and everything works as it should without issue.

 

For the 50th Anniversary Gibson produced an exact duplicated of the neck profile and top carve from an original ’59 Burst. The finish is very thin and looks as good as we have ever seen from Gibson. It feature hot hide glue construction, a historically accurate ’59 hand finished top and is fitted with historic parts, with period correct hardware, electronics and custom wound BurstBucker PAF pickups.

 

It has a stunning flamed top (photographed in both studio and natural light for comparison), is lightweight for a solid body Les Paul, and all woods were hand selected and graded as you’d expect on the very best in the Gibson line - the body is a beautifully figured 1-piece Mahogany. The tone is pure magic -  full sounding while still retaining its clarity.

 

This very special guitar comes complete with its original lifton-style case, paperwork and candy as pictured.
