The Gibson Chet Atkins CEC stands as one of the most unique instruments Gibson ever produced — a nylon-strung model that combines classical warmth and articulation with the comfort, feedback-resistance and playability of a solidbody electric. Developed in collaboration with the legendary Chet Atkins, the CEC was intentionally engineered to perform at volume on stage without the uncontrollable feedback that traditional nylon acoustics suffer from, making it a favourite of high level session players, touring artists and crossover fingerstyle guitarists for decades.

This late 90s example is in lovely condition  - with only barely visible blemishes (exaggerated under direct studio lighting on our photos). It's been looked after, there's no break or repairs, and has a fresh set of string on it - it's ready to go.

This model delivers a rich, expressive nylon response with incredibly focused tonal clarity thanks to its chambered mahogany body, solid spruce top, and highly musical electronics designed specifically to reproduce a natural, full nylon guitar voice when amplified. The slim and wide, fast neck profile makes it instantly more comfortable for electric players transitioning into nylon, and the overall feel is elegant, smooth and extremely playable. It as volume, bass and treble control for maximum control of your tone.
