Collectible and iconic Japanese Steve Vai signature Jem7V finished in classic White - from the first year of production.

It is in very good condition for age with some wear and blemishes on closer inspection, and that we’ve exaggerated significantly by bouncing studio light onto the surfaces for the close up photos. There is some surface rash out of sight on the back (not visible unless bouncing light onto the surface). Some minor signs of use to the frets but cosmetic only and not effecting playability. No breaks or repairs and everything works as it should.

It features an Alder body bolted to a slim and fast 1-piece maple neck with a 24-fret Ebony fingerboard with pearl and abalone Tree of Life vine inlays. A thin basswood veneer is applied to the top and back of the body to prevent the finish from soaking into the alder and preventing the alder grain from appearing through the finish. The fingerboard is scalloped at the last four frets and it has the famous monkey grip for easy handling. It has gold hardware including a Lo-Pro Edge tremolo, locking nut and Gotoh tuners.

It features DiMarzio Evolution pickups with a pair of humbuckers flanking a single coil. The pickups were designed with Steve Vai and are high-gain pickups that excel with overdrive and distortion and really cut through the mix. Ideal if you are doing plenty of lead work and for those squealing pinched harmonics, these pickups work equally well for rhythm and lead work making the guitar incredibly versatile. It has a 5-way switch and volume / tone controls, plus a mini-switch which acts a blower switch (giving you instant access to the bridge pickup, regardless of 5-way switch position).

This is a guitar that will only appreciate in value. It comes with a fitted (non-original) hardcase, its DiMarzio quicklock strap and its trem arm.
