The Epiphone Casino is the essential rock 'n' roll hollow body. A guitar heralded in music lore thanks to the players that wielded them - including the Beatles, Keith Richards, Paul Weller to name but a few.
Introduced 60's these guitars were essentially a more affortable Gibson ES-330 with slight modifications. This highly desirable Casino was built at the fabled Matsumoku factory in the last year of production before moving to Terada. It is in excellent condition for age with some wear and blemishes and had a professional refret by the excellent Bob Dayfield (Leicester). The frets have some wear but lots of life left in them, there's no breaks or repairs, and everything works as it should. It has had one owner from new.
It features a hollow Maple thinline body with a comfortable Mahogany neck with slim profile, Rosewood fingerboard with Parallelogram inlays, Trapeze tailpiece, tune-o-matic bridge and vintage style tuners. The twin P-90 Dogear pickups give players a clear, ringing tone that could be pushed into overdrive when needed and it also makes the sound lighter and louder when played without an amplifier. – perfect for lots of genres including blues and rock n’ roll.
It comes with its original Epiphone hard case to keep this beautiful guitar protected. This is fine for storage/shipping but is missing its hinges so would not be functional for transportation.
