The Fender D'Aquisto is an exceptionally rare and desirable vintage archtop guitar. They were released as the flagship models of Fender’s “Master Series” in the eighties and were produced in very limited numbers.
It was designed by famous Italian-Amerian luthier Jimmy D’Aquisto (the maker of some of the most expensive and sought after Archtops ever created, including the first guitar to be valued at one million dollars!). It was manufactured by Fender Japan – so expect first-class build quality,
The guitar is in astonishing condition (not far from mint) with only the most minor of blemishes that aren't even visible unless bouncing light directly on the surface (we per out photos). This is definitely one that will appeal to both collectors and players alike.
Spec-wise you get a triple bound Birdseye-Maple body, comfortable C-profile Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard, mother of pearl custom D’Aquisto headstock inlay, and some beautiful Rosewood appointments including the contoured tailpiece, solid control knobs and bound pickguard.
The 16" body is similar to an ES-175, making it comfortable to hold, and the 2x unique Schaller D’Aquisto humbuckers provide classic warm/fat jazz tone – it sounds wonderful.
It comes complete with a hard case and some paperwork as pictured.
