1970 Gibson ES-335TD - Sunburst

Vintage Gibson ES-335 finished in classic sunburst. 

This vintage icon was built in the famous Kalamazoo factory and is in excellent condition for age with just minor wear and blemishes that we've exaggerated under direct lighting on the photos to make them more visible. Some wear to the frets as you'd expect given age but only cosmetic and not effecting playability at all. The bridge pickup plastic surround has a split in it - these can be replaced cheaply/easily if required. It’s clearly been carefully looked after over the years, and there are no repairs.

The spec includes a double-cutaway arched Maple semi-hollow body with f-holes, comfortable slim/medium C-profile 3-piece Mahogany neck with volute and 1-9/16" nut width, black pickguard, Trapeze tailpiece, Rosewood fretboard with block inlays and 12" radius, Gibson Deluxe tuners and its original PAT number pickups which sound fantastic. 

The only modification are the CTS pots which were updated in the 90s to improve performance/ This makes it more difficult to pinpoint the exact year of build, but given the rectangular internal sticker and the pickups being dated as 1969, we think it's highly likely that this was a mid-late 1970's build, or potentially transitioning into 1971.

This fantastic example comes with its original case, to protect this investment guitar that will only appreciate in value.
