Handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, it channels the spirit and craftsmanship of Gibson’s wartime acoustics, honouring the original “Only a Gibson is Good Enough” banner-era models with period-correct details and rich, vintage-inspired tone. 

 

It is in practically mint-condition - just 1 tiny speck/blemish on the rear if being incredibly picky (as photographed). In many ways it's the perfect workhorse guitar for both stage or studio, with great tone and fantastic playability.

With its thermally aged Adirondack red spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, the 1942 Banner J-45 delivers a warm, woody voice with crisp articulation and a powerful midrange that cuts through with authority—perfect for fingerpicking, flatpicking, or strumming. The hide glue construction and hand-scalloped X-bracing ensure optimal resonance and sustain, giving each note a dry, open quality that feels timeless.
