Super-collectible David Gilmour strat - inspired by the 'black strat' Gilmour has used for decades and that was one of the most iconic and highly-anticipated musical instruments of the past 50 years.

This NOS (New Old Stock) version has not been put through the Fender Custom Shop special ageing techniques. The guitar looks as the original did when it was brand new (but with David's modifications), hence the name New Old Stock. This really is as close as you can get to the original classic, and this stunning example is in near-mint condition with no blemishes of any note, having spent much of its life in a case. The frets are mint condition and everything works perfectly. It's one that will appeal to both collectors and players alike.

Gilmour's spec includes a select Alder contoured body with nitro finish, Maple neck with a comfortable 1983 thin-shouldered “C” profile and nitro lacquer finish, 7.25" radius, vintage style frets, Fender/Gotoh vintage-style tuners, American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo with custom beveled tremolo block and shortened tremolo arm, 1-ply pickguard and vintage style tuners.

It’s fitted with a Custom Hand-Wound Fat ’50s Strat at the neck, Custom-Wound Strat pickup in the middle position, and a Seymour Duncan SSL-5 at the bridge. Controls include a Master Volume, Tone 1 (Neck Pickup), Tone 2. (Middle Pickup) and a 5-position Blade. In addition, Gilmours' 2-way toggle switch activates the neck pickup in the middle and bridge positions.

It comes complete with everything the 2020 spec came with from factory - including its original signature custom case with crushed green lining, certificate of authenticity, paperwork, shortened trem arm, and candy as pictured.

This is a guitar that is only going to continue to appreciate in value - don't miss out!
