One of only 75 ever built.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the summer of 2008 FMIC\/Gretsch released this limited edition 6120 model. Introduced with great fanfare, the G6120-CGP Chet Atkins Stereo guitar was unveiled at the 24th annual Chet Atkins Appreciation Society (CAAS) convention in Nashville, Tennessee.  The guitar’s concept was inspired by the famous 1955 red sealed-top prototype that Atkins frequently used to record with in the 1950s. Features that reflect that vintage prototype include the simulated f-holes, mismatched B6 base with Chet Atkins handle, and the plain block fretboard markers that the original prototype displayed after its neck was replaced in 1957.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe big technical advancement of the original 1955 sealed-top guitar was its Ray Butts designed prototypical Filter’Tron pickups, represented with aesthetic authenticity on the 6120-CGP by white bobbin dual-coil units made specifically for this model by TV Jones. The guitar featured a flip switch to engage the stereo mode, isolating the low E, A, and D strings to a separate output jack from the G, B, and E strings - however a standard \u003cspan\u003emono input is also available if preferred. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt has Maple hollow body design with binding and gloss nitro lacquer finish, a comfortable slim profile Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard, 12” radius, open-back tuners, arrow control knobs, Bigsby B6 vibrato tailpiece, and a gold plexi pickguard with artist signature graphic. It comes with its original Gretsch hard case and tag - as pictured.
